Martin Parr talk and book signing in London
Acclaimed Magnum photographer Martin Parr and photo historian Gerry Badger, co-authors of The Photobook: A History, give a talk at the V&A on Wednesday 4 May at 7.15pm, telling the story of photography through the history of photo books. They reveal a secret web of relationships between photographers who have influenced each other's work through their books, and consequently the development of photography. Following the talk Martin Parr and Gerry Badger will sign copies of The Photobook: A History.
The Photobook: A History volume 1 is a comprehensive and lavishly illustrated book available on the history of the photobook. Volume 1 features books by celebrated photographers ranging from Henry Fox-Talbot, Walker Evans and August Sander, to Man Ray, Brassaï, Christer Strömholm, Larry Clark and Nobuyoshi Araki.
